Dubai or Singapore for a Family Trip: 5 Days from ₹58,999

Dubai or Singapore for a Family Trip: 5 Days from ₹58,999

A 5-day family trip from Ahmedabad costs from ₹58,999 per person to Dubai and from ₹64,999 per person to Singapore on our family trips, both with return flights, a 4-star hotel and the visa included (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). Dubai is ₹6,000 per person less and suits families who want a waterpark, the desert and short drives; Singapore costs more but is compact, easy on elderly parents and has Universal Studios for the children.

Both family trips are priced per person and include return flights from Ahmedabad, four nights in a 4-star hotel with daily breakfast, transfers, the listed attractions, the visa and a trip captain. Most lunches and dinners are not included, so you choose where to eat. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote.

Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Visa rules checked with Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, the Consulate-General of Singapore in Mumbai, and the UAE's ICP and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October 2026.

Dubai or Singapore: which suits a family trip from India?

Both suit a first family trip abroad. Dubai has longer drives between the waterpark, the desert and the malls; in Singapore most sights are a short ride apart.

If the budget is the deciding line, choose Dubai. If you are travelling with a grandparent who tires easily, or with children under six, Singapore is usually the calmer choice.

How do the 5-day family trips compare on price?

Four of our planned trips to the two cities, per person, as listed on 16 Oct 2026:

TripLengthFrom (per person)What the days look like
Dubai Family Funfest5 days, 4 nights₹58,999Aquaventure, a gentle desert safari, the Dubai Aquarium and the Burj Khalifa deck
Singapore Family Blockbuster5 days, 4 nights₹64,999A full Universal Studios day, Sentosa, the S.E.A. Aquarium and Gardens by the Bay
Dubai: Desert & Sky5 days, 4 nights₹48,999Desert camp with a barbecue dinner, the Burj Khalifa at level 124 and Old Dubai
Singapore: City of Icons4 days, 3 nights₹51,999Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, Sentosa and the Night Safari

The family trips are built around children, with pools, short distances and one big day each. Desert & Sky is planned for couples and friends, and City of Icons for couples, families and older travellers.

Adding one big day to a shorter trip

City of Icons does not include Universal Studios. Adding Universal Studios Singapore: The Full Day, from ₹5,999 per person, brings it to ₹57,998 per person, which is ₹7,001 less than the Family Blockbuster but one night shorter. In Dubai, the Dubai Evening Desert Safari is from ₹6,999 per person if you are planning your own stay; both Dubai trips above already include a desert evening.

What a family pays in total

Children's prices depend on age and bedding, so we price them in your quote. These totals are for adults, before GST and TCS.

Who is travellingDubai Family FunfestSingapore Family Blockbuster
Couple₹1,17,998₹1,29,998
Three adults (a couple and one parent)₹1,76,997₹1,94,997
Four adults₹2,35,996₹2,59,996

Which is easier with small children and elderly parents?

Singapore is the easier city for most families with very young children or grandparents. On City of Icons the pace is steady, everything is a short metro ride apart, and the one late night is the Night Safari, mostly seated on a tram. The Family Blockbuster is busier: the Universal Studios and Sentosa days mean a lot of walking and queuing.

Dubai works for elderly parents too, with planning. On the Family Funfest, the waterpark and desert days involve a fair bit of walking and standing, so we set the pace to the slowest walker. The dune drive is bumpy; we ask for the gentler setting, and families with small children can ask for the early return from the desert camp.

Small things that help

  • Aquaventure's bigger slides and Universal's major coasters have their own height rules, checked at the ride. Check before you promise a child a particular ride.
  • On Sentosa, the Skyline Luge has a minimum height for riding solo; smaller children ride with an adult.
  • Dress modestly at Dubai's malls and in the old town; beachwear stays at the beach.

Where is vegetarian and Jain food easier to find?

On our Dubai trips, vegetarian and Jain meals are arranged on request, and the desert camp barbecue has vegetarian and Jain options if you ask in advance. On our Singapore trips only breakfast is included, so tell us your food needs when you enquire.

In both cities, breakfast is at the hotel and most lunches and dinners are yours to choose. We suggest pure-vegetarian restaurants near your hotel and along each day's route, so a Jain grandparent is not left with fruit and bread.

How do the visa rules compare for Indians?

Indian passport holders need a visa for both. On our Dubai and Singapore trips the visa is listed as an inclusion and handled by us, so you send documents and we do the rest.

Singapore

Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ica.gov.sg, checked October 2026) says an Indian passport needs a visa and advises applying within 30 days before arrival. Gujarat is covered by the Consulate-General of Singapore in Mumbai, which takes applications only through its authorised visa agents: a ₹2,100 visa fee plus a ₹1,300 agent charge per application, with 3 to 5 working days to process (mumbai.mfa.gov.sg, checked October 2026). Your passport should be valid for six months from the date you enter.

UAE

The UAE's Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (icp.gov.ae, checked October 2026) lists a 60-day visa for Indian ordinary passport holders who already hold a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card from the US, the UK or the EU, or a residence permit from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore or New Zealand. It costs AED 250 plus an AED 100 smart services fee, is applied for online through ICP's smart services and cannot be extended. For everyone else, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (mofa.gov.ae, checked October 2026) lists India as visa required, and our Dubai trips include the visa.

Which months suit each city?

Singapore is warm all year. The Meteorological Service Singapore (weather.gov.sg, checked October 2026) gives daytime highs of about 31 to 33°C; November and December are the wettest, with about 19 rain days each, and February the driest. Rain mostly comes in the afternoon, so we keep indoor options in each day.

The Government of Dubai's Protocol Department (protocol.dubai.ae, checked October 2026) gives UAE summer temperatures of 35 to 41°C with high humidity, and winter temperatures of 18 to 25°C. Khaleej Times, citing the UAE's National Centre of Meteorology on 23 Dec 2025, put winter daytime highs at 24 to 27°C. For desert evenings and beach afternoons, we suggest November to March. If school holidays fix your dates, ask us to price both cities for them.

What do children enjoy doing in each city?

In Dubai: Atlantis Aquaventure, with slides from gentle rivers to steep drops; the tunnel walk at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo; sandboarding and a camel stop on the desert evening; and the Dubai Fountain show after dark.

In Singapore: Universal Studios, with Puss in Boots and Sesame Street for younger children and big coasters for older ones; Sentosa's cable car, Skyline Luge and S.E.A. Aquarium; the Supertree light show at Gardens by the Bay; and the Rain Vortex at Jewel, Changi Airport, on the way home.
