Check before booking.
Both lines run from 8:45 am to 10 pm daily, with last boarding at 9:30 pm.
Which cable car line goes where: Mount Faber or Sentosa?
There are two separate lines, and the Sky Pass covers both.
The Mount Faber Line
The long ride across the harbour, linking HarbourFront, Mount Faber and Sentosa stations. From HarbourFront MRT, take Exit B and follow the signs to the cable car station in HarbourFront Tower 2.
The Sentosa Line
This line stays on the island and links Sensoryscape, Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Point. Sentosa station on the Mount Faber Line is a 3 to 5 minute walk from Imbiah Lookout, where you find SkyHelix and the Skyline Luge.
Other ways onto Sentosa
- Sentosa Express: the monorail from VivoCity, Lobby L, Level 3. The standard entry fee is S$4 (about ₹300), and children below 7 with an adult ride free. First train 7 am, last train 12 am.
- Sentosa Boardwalk: free on foot from VivoCity, Lobby F, Level 1. Part of it has been closed since 22 May 2025 for building works, with walkers sent along a covered linkway until it reopens, expected in 2030.
- Taxi or car: an entry charge at the gantry, from S$2 depending on the time of day.
These are from sentosa.com.sg, checked October 2026.
What does our Sentosa day pass include for ₹4,499?
Sentosa: The Island Day is a full day on the island, from ₹4,499 per person. The trip page lists the return cable car from Mount Faber, the Skyline Luge and Skyride combination, and Sentosa island admission. Universal Studios (sold separately), meals and hotel transfers are not included.
The day runs from the cable car over the harbour in the morning to the luge, a beach afternoon at Palawan or Siloso, and the cable car back at dusk. From the trip page:
- The luge needs a minimum height of 110 cm to ride alone; smaller children ride with an adult.
- Weekends are busy. A weekday feels like a different island.
- Sudden rain is normal, and most attractions reopen within the hour.
What is SkyHelix, and who is it suitable for?
SkyHelix Sentosa is an open-air gondola at Imbiah that rotates slowly as it rises to 79 metres above sea level, with views over Sentosa, Keppel Bay and the Southern Islands. Each ride takes up to 16 people, and each ticket comes with a standard non-alcoholic drink or a souvenir. The operator's page lists two different sets of opening hours, so check on the day. Its safety rules:
- Riders must be at least 1.05 metres tall.
- Anyone between 1.05 and 1.2 metres, or aged 12 and under, must ride with a supervising adult.
- It is not suitable for expectant mothers, or for anyone with a fear of heights, limited mobility, motion sickness or vertigo.
For grandparents with knee or balance problems, the enclosed cable car is the gentler way to see the same view. SkyHelix is not in our day pass, and we don't sell it separately.
What is Cable Car Sky Dining?
Also run by Mount Faber Leisure Group: dinner in a private cable car cabin over two rounds of the Mount Faber Line, about an hour in all, for up to four people, boarding between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Its dining site says the menu has vegetarian choices if you ask when booking. It is booked with the operator and is not in our catalogue.
What can you fit into one day on Sentosa?
One full day covers the cable car, the luge, a beach and one more ride without rushing:
| Time | Plan | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| 9 am | Cable car across the harbour | Opens at 8:45 am |
| Late morning | Skyline Luge and Skyride at Imbiah | Before the queues build |
| Lunch | A seated meal near Imbiah or the beach | Not in the pass |
| Afternoon | Palawan or Siloso beach | Shelter close by for a shower |
| Late afternoon | SkyHelix, if it suits your group | Its own ticket |
| Dusk | Cable car back to the mainland | Last boarding 9:30 pm |
Universal Studios or the S.E.A. Aquarium needs a second day.
Is Sentosa easy with small children and elderly parents?
Mostly yes, at a gentle pace.
With small children
- The cable car child fare covers ages 4 to 12; ask at the counter about under-4s.
- Children below 7 ride the Sentosa Express free with an adult.
- The luge needs 110 cm to ride alone, and SkyHelix needs 1.05 metres with an adult.
With elderly parents
The cable car rides are seated and the beaches are flat, but our trip page is honest that a full island day means a fair amount of walking and standing, and the island is only partly wheelchair-friendly. A weekday, a long seated lunch and an early return work well. Our Singapore things to do with parents page lists gentler options, and Singapore with elderly parents covers the whole trip.
Should you add Universal Studios on the same day or a separate one?
A separate day. Universal Studios is on Sentosa, but it is a full day on its own: Universal Studios Singapore: The Full Day is from ₹5,999 per person, with a one-day pass and timed entry. Transport to Sentosa and the Express pass are extra, and the trip page warns that weekends and Singapore school holidays roughly double every queue.
Our Singapore holidays keep the two apart:
| Trip | Length | From (per person) | Sentosa and Universal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore: City of Icons | 4 days, 3 nights | ₹51,999 | A Sentosa morning by cable car, Night Safari that evening |
| Singapore Family Blockbuster | 5 days, 4 nights | ₹64,999 | Universal on day 2; cable car, luge and S.E.A. Aquarium on day 3 |
Both list return flights from Ahmedabad, a 4-star stay with breakfast, airport transfers, the listed tickets and the Singapore visa handled by us. See our Singapore trip cost from India, the Singapore destination guide and things to do in Singapore.
For day passes alone, multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers; children are priced in the quote. Before GST and TCS, a couple pays ₹8,998 for the Sentosa day, or ₹20,996 with Universal Studios on a second day. Four adults pay ₹17,996, or ₹41,992 with Universal.
