Which Singapore sights are free?

Some well-known sights are free or list no admission fee. This is what the official sites said in October 2026.

SightWhat the official site saysSource
Supertree Grove, Gardens by the BayFree admission; the outdoor gardens are open 5am to 2am dailygardensbythebay.com.sg
Garden Rhapsody light and sound showDaily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm in the Supertree Grovegardensbythebay.com.sg
Jewel Rain VortexRuns 10am to 10pm daily; light and music shows at 8pm and 9pm, with a 10pm show from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays and their evesjewelchangiairport.com
Merlion ParkIn front of the Fullerton Hotel, overlooking Marina Bay; the statue is 8.6 metres tallvisitsingapore.com

Gardens by the Bay's site states free admission for the Supertree Grove. Jewel's Rain Vortex page and Visit Singapore's Merlion Park page list no admission fee, but neither says "free" in so many words, so check on the day.

The paid parts at Gardens by the Bay are the domes and the Skyway, which our ₹2,499 ticket covers. Each has whole-day maintenance closures on the official calendar: in the coming weeks, the Cloud Forest closes on 26 Oct and 17 Nov 2026, the Flower Dome on 16 Nov 2026, and the OCBC Skyway on 4 Nov and 9 Dec 2026. Tell us your dates and we will avoid them.

Which tickets suit children, couples and elderly parents?

Children

Universal Studios and the Sentosa day are the two big days for children. The Skyline Luge on Sentosa needs a height of 110 cm to ride alone, and smaller children ride with an adult. The Night Safari works for families because the tram covers the whole park seated, and Jewel's Canopy Park is a good half day before an evening flight.

Couples

The SkyPark at dusk, the Supertree Evening with Garden Rhapsody, and the Hawker Trail make an easy three evenings for two.

Elderly parents

Gardens by the Bay has level, paved paths, lifts and benches, and our listing marks it wheelchair-friendly. Jewel is flat, indoors and air-conditioned, with lifts. The SkyPark is a lift to a level, covered deck with seating, though it is open-air and can be warm. On the Night Safari, parents who are unsteady at night are better off on the tram alone, because the walking trails are dim and uneven. Our Singapore with elderly parents guide has more on pacing.

How many attractions fit into two days?

Two or three ticketed attractions a day is plenty with children or parents. This plan keeps travel short and puts the evenings where the shows are.

DayMorningAfternoonEveningCost per person
Day 1, Marina BayHawker Trail at 11:00Rest at the hotelGardens by the Bay from 16:00, then Garden Rhapsody at 7.45pm₹4,798
Day 2, SentosaUniversal Studios from 10:00In the parkBack to the hotel₹5,999

The two days come to ₹10,797 per person, or ₹43,188 for four adults, before GST and TCS. Swap Universal Studios for the Sentosa island day (₹4,499) if your children are older than theme parks, or for the SkyPark at 17:30 (₹1,999) and a walk to Merlion Park if you are travelling with parents. Keep Jewel for the day you fly home.

Where can you eat vegetarian food between attractions?

Plan meals before the day, not on it. Food is not included at Gardens by the Bay, the SkyPark, Sentosa or Universal Studios, so we mark meal stops near each attraction in your day plan.

  • The Hawker Trail can handle vegetarian, Jain and allergy needs with notice, so tell us when you book.
  • For Jain meals, tell us when you enquire, so we can plan each meal stop around it.
  • Carry dry snacks for children on the Sentosa and Universal Studios days, when meal times slip.

Should you book attractions with your package or separately?

With a package, the tickets sit inside one plan. Our Singapore Family Blockbuster is from ₹64,999 per person for 5 days and 4 nights, with return flights from Ahmedabad, a 4-star city stay with breakfast, airport transfers, the Singapore visa handled by us, and tickets for Universal Studios, the Sentosa cable car and luge, the S.E.A. Aquarium, Gardens by the Bay and Jewel.

Booking separately makes sense if you are on a layover or want one or two sights only. Official sites sell in Singapore dollars, and for simple entry tickets the official price can be lower than our rupee price, so compare for your date. Our tickets add timed slots and, where listed, transfers, and they sit in the same quote as the rest of your trip.

For the full cost of a trip with flights and hotels, read our Singapore trip cost from India guide or the Singapore destination guide.
