Vietnam Itinerary 7 Days from India 2026: Routes and Prices

A 7-day Vietnam trip from India costs from ₹89,999 per person on our 7-day Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Hoi An trip, where international flights are quoted separately, or from ₹54,999 for our 6-day Hanoi and Ha Long trip with return flights from Ahmedabad (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). Our 5-day trips start at ₹39,999 for Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong and ₹42,999 for Da Nang and Hoi An, and the 10-day Grand Loop through all three regions is from ₹79,999 per person.
Four of these five trips include return flights from Ahmedabad, hotels with daily breakfast, transfers, the listed experiences and the Vietnam e-visa handled by us. The 7-day trip includes the Hanoi to Da Nang flight, a guide on touring days, a cooking class and the bay excursions, but not international flights or the e-visa. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote.
Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Visa rules checked on the Vietnam Immigration Department's e-visa portal and Vietnam's official tourism site, vietnam.travel, and regional weather on vietnam.travel, in October 2026.
How do you spend 7 days in Vietnam from India?
Pick one or two regions, not all three. Seven days fits the north (Hanoi and a night on Ha Long Bay) plus the centre (Hoi An), or one region at an easy pace. The whole country, north to south, takes about ten days, the length of our Grand Loop.
| Trip | Regions | Length | Flights from Ahmedabad | From (per person) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saigon & the Mekong South | South | 5 days, 4 nights | Included | ₹39,999 |
| Da Nang & Hoi An: Heritage Coast | Centre | 5 days, 4 nights | Included | ₹42,999 |
| Vietnam: Ha Long Awakening | North | 6 days, 5 nights | Included | ₹54,999 |
| Vietnam: The Bay and the Lanterns | North and centre | 7 days, 6 nights | Not included | ₹89,999 |
| Vietnam: The Grand Loop | North, centre and south | 10 days, 9 nights | Included | ₹79,999 |
To turn a 5- or 6-day trip into 7 days, we add nights in your quote at the hotel's rate for your dates. If you start on a Saturday, a 7-day trip uses five working days of leave.
North, centre or south: which region suits a 7-day trip?
North: Hanoi and Ha Long Bay
Hanoi's old quarter, a food day, water puppets, and a night on a boat among the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, with kayaking and a cave. It is the gentlest region for elderly parents: the Ha Long Awakening keeps all four land nights in Hanoi, includes every meal on the cruise and leaves a free day.
Centre: Da Nang and Hoi An
The Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills, My Khe beach, the Marble Mountains and Hoi An's lantern-lit old town. It suits couples and friends; parents can skip the many steps up the Marble Mountains.
South: Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong
The Cu Chi tunnels, the War Remnants Museum and a Mekong Delta day with a floating market: our lowest-priced Vietnam trip. The tunnel crawl is tight and dark, which young children and some older travellers may prefer to skip.
For a first week, the north and the centre pair well, which is what our 7-day trip does.
How much does a week in Vietnam cost?
Multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers. Children are priced in your quote. These totals are before GST and TCS.
| Who is travelling | Trip | Total from |
|---|---|---|
| Couple | Ha Long Awakening, 6 days | ₹1,09,998 |
| Couple | The Bay and the Lanterns, 7 days (international flights extra) | ₹1,79,998 |
| Couple | Da Nang & Hoi An, 5 days, with the lantern boat | ₹89,996 |
| Four adults | Da Nang & Hoi An, 5 days | ₹1,71,996 |
| Four adults | The Grand Loop, 10 days | ₹3,19,996 |
Two add-ons fit most central Vietnam weeks:
| Add-on | Where | From (per person) | What is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hoi An Lantern Boat Night | Hoi An | ₹1,999 | A private rowboat for two to four, about 30 minutes, a paper wish-lantern, and che in the old town |
| Ba Na Hills & the Golden Bridge | Da Nang | ₹3,999 | Return transfers from Da Nang or Hoi An, entry and the cable car, Fantasy Park and a buffet lunch at the summit |
Ba Na Hills is already in the Da Nang and Hoi An trip and the Grand Loop, so add it to the 7-day Bay and the Lanterns trip: with the lantern boat as well, that comes to ₹95,997 per person. For the full budget, including the e-visa and day trips, read our Vietnam trip cost guide.
What does a Hanoi and Ha Long week look like?
This is the Ha Long Awakening, with a seventh day added if you want it.
| Day | Plan |
|---|---|
| 1 | Land in Hanoi, settle into the old quarter, first pho; the night market at weekends |
| 2 | The food day: bun cha, banh cuon and egg coffee, then water puppet theatre |
| 3 | About two and a half hours by expressway to Ha Long, board the boat, kayak and visit a cave, dinner on deck |
| 4 | Tai chi on deck at sunrise, a visit to the floating communities, brunch, then back to Hanoi |
| 5 | Free: museums, French quarter cafés or a tailor |
| 6 | Fly home, or stay on for a seventh day in Hanoi |
The trip includes return flights between Ahmedabad and Hanoi, four nights in Hanoi and one in a cruise cabin, daily breakfast and all cruise meals. The Hanoi food crawl leans on meat dishes, so if anyone is vegetarian or Jain, tell us when you enquire and we check what the day can offer before you pay.
What does a Da Nang and Hoi An week look like?
Five days on the Heritage Coast, from ₹42,999
Day 1 is Da Nang and My Khe beach. Day 2 is Ba Na Hills by cable car for the Golden Bridge, starting early because the bridge is crowded by 10 am; carry a layer, as the top is 8°C to 10°C cooler. Day 3 is the Marble Mountains, then Hoi An. Day 4 is basket boats at Cam Thanh, a tailor fitting and the lantern-lit old town, the evening for the lantern boat. Day 5 is the flight home. Two more nights make it a full week.
Seven days with Ha Long and Hoi An, from ₹89,999
The Bay and the Lanterns covers both regions: days 1 and 2 in Hanoi, days 3 and 4 with a night on a junk in Ha Long Bay, days 5 and 6 in Hoi An after the included flight to Da Nang, with a cooking class and a tailor, and day 7 home from Da Nang. Our trip page notes that the e-visa should name Noi Bai in Hanoi as the entry point. International flights are quoted separately.
Which months suit the north, the centre and the south?
Vietnam's weather differs by region, so the right month depends on where you go. From vietnam.travel (checked October 2026):
| Region | Good months | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| North: Hanoi and Ha Long | September and October for cooler days and clear skies; April and May for sunshine | Cold from December to March; April and May can be very hot |
| Centre: Da Nang and Hoi An | March to May, and September and October | A rainy season from November to February, with storms and floods late in the rainy season |
| South: Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong | November to April, the dry season | Sudden showers; carry a compact umbrella |
Our trip notes add that Hoi An floods most years in October and November, usually briefly, and that Ha Long Bay is misty from January to March. For a November to February break, the south is in its dry season, while the north suits travellers who like cool days.
Which visa do Indians need for Vietnam in 2026?
An e-visa, applied for online before you fly. Checked in October 2026:
- Fee: USD 25 for a single entry and USD 50 for multiple entry (Vietnam Immigration Department e-visa portal).
- Processing: 3 working days, according to the same portal.
- Length: up to 90 days, open to citizens of all countries since 15 Aug 2023 (vietnam.travel).
- Official addresses: since 11 Nov 2024, the portal runs on evisa.gov.vn and thithucdientu.gov.vn (Immigration Department notice).
- Entry points: the e-visa list includes Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) and Da Nang airports.
Four of our five trips handle the e-visa for you. For documents and look-alike websites to avoid, read our Vietnam visa guide for Indians; for regions and food, see the Vietnam destination guide.
