Manali Kasol Trip Cost 2026: 6 Days for Friends from ₹15,999

Manali Kasol Trip Cost 2026: 6 Days for Friends from ₹15,999

A 6-day Manali and Kasol trip costs from ₹15,999 per person with us, from Delhi and back, with overnight Volvo or tempo transport, five nights' stays with breakfast and dinner, the listed activities and permits, and a trip captain (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). For a group of four friends that is ₹63,996 before GST; from Ahmedabad, add your own train or flight to Delhi and back, which we can price into the same quote.

The trip page lists Volvo or tempo transport from Delhi with a flight add-on available, stays with breakfast and dinner, all listed activities and permits, and a trip captain trained in mountain first aid. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote; TCS applies only to trips abroad, so a Himachal quote shows GST alone.

Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Rohtang permit rules checked on the Himachal Pradesh government's permit portal, temperatures with Incredible India, and road and paragliding notices with The Tribune, in October 2026.

What does the 6-day backpacker trip include?

It runs Delhi to Delhi, with an overnight Volvo at each end.

DayWhereWhat the day looks like
1Delhi to ManaliThe overnight Volvo, arriving in Manali for breakfast; a slow first day while the journey wears off
2ManaliOld Manali's cafe lanes and the Jogini waterfall walk, about forty-five minutes up through apple orchards
3ManaliSolang in the morning for whatever the season offers, then Hadimba temple in its deodar grove
4KasolInto the Parvati valley to a riverside camp, with a bonfire in the evening
5KasolThe Chalal forest walk, Tosh village in the afternoon and the gurudwara at Manikaran on the way back
6Back to DelhiThe overnight Volvo back

What is extra

Lunches, optional adventure add-ons such as Solang's paragliding or zipline, and personal expenses and tips. ATMs thin out beyond Manali, so carry some cash for Kasol and Tosh. The langar at the Manikaran gurudwara is vegetarian, and vegetarian meals are easy on this trip; for Jain meals, tell us when you enquire and your trip captain checks each included breakfast and dinner.

The trip suits friends, couples and solo travellers. The Tosh climb and the cold river camp need reasonable fitness, and children need watching near the Parvati, which is glacial and loud right by the camp. For parents, the Shimla–Manali trip is slower, with rooms chosen for views rather than walks.

How do you get to Manali from Ahmedabad?

The backpacker trip starts and ends in Delhi, so the Ahmedabad leg is separate. You can go by train or by air; the trip page lists a flight add-on, and we can price your travel to Delhi in the same quote. We don't print fares here, because they change with your dates.

Reach Delhi with time to spare before the overnight Volvo to Manali, whose boarding point and time we confirm with you, and book your way home with a margin after the return coach arrives. Mountain roads can run late, and our trip notes say plainly that weather owns the itinerary in the hills.

Incredible India lists Kullu–Manali Airport at Bhuntar and Chandigarh as the nearest airports to Manali (checked October 2026); flying into either changes the plan, so ask us to price that version.

Do you need a permit for Rohtang or the Atal Tunnel road?

Our backpacker trip doesn't go to Rohtang Pass; Solang is the snow and adventure day, and the permits for the listed activities are included. If you add Rohtang on your own, every vehicle going up for tourism needs a permit from the Himachal Pradesh government's portal, rohtangpermits.hp.gov.in (checked October 2026):

Rohtang permit ruleWhat the portal says
Fee for a car, jeep or MUV₹500 permit fee plus ₹50 congestion charge, valid for one day, to and fro
Fee for a bus or heavy vehicle₹500 permit fee plus ₹100 congestion charge
Permits a day800 petrol and 400 diesel vehicles, released online at 10:00 and 16:00
How far aheadOnly for the next two days
Vehicle and papersNo more than 10 years old; a valid PUC certificate and valid ID proof; a printout is compulsory
Limit per vehicleThree permits a week, Tuesday to Monday

The Atal Tunnel is a separate road: a 9.02-kilometre tunnel connecting Manali with Keylong in Lahaul (The Tribune, May 2026). The permit portal doesn't mention it, and we found no official page on a permit for the tunnel road, so check before booking. In winter the road can shut: after heavy snow on 23 and 24 Jan 2026 the tunnel was blocked for nearly four days, and when the Manali administration reopened the way to it, only 4x4 vehicles were allowed (The Tribune, February 2026).

Which months suit Manali, Kasol and Tosh?

The ranges below are Incredible India's monthly figures for Manali (checked October 2026); it gives no separate figures for Kasol or Tosh.

MonthsManali range (Incredible India)What to expect
March to June−1.2 to 23.3°C in March; 8.5 to 30.6°C in JuneCold nights in March, warm days by June
July to mid-September12.0 to 29.6°C in July; 11.9 to 28.5°C in AugustMonsoon: landslides and blocked roads are a real risk; Bir paragliding was suspended in 2026
Mid-September to November7.7 to 27.3°C in September; −0.4 to 20.7°C in NovemberAfter the rains; nights turn cold, so pack layers for the river camp
December to February−2.7 to 17.4°C in December; −6.3 to 16.2°C in JanuarySnow at Solang from around December to March, by our trip notes; roads can close after heavy snow

In late August 2025, The Tribune reported landslides blocking the Kullu–Manali highway at several points after days of heavy rain. If your only free week falls in the monsoon, keep your travel home flexible. Nights are cold year-round above 2,000 metres, so pack layers rather than bulk.

What can you add: Bir Billing, Shimla or Ladakh?

Bir Billing

Bir, known for paragliding, can be a weekend of its own from Delhi, our Bir Billing: Flight Weekend from ₹9,999 per person, or a half-day tandem flight from ₹3,499 if you are already there. You need no experience, and flights are called each morning on the weather; if a slot is weather-cancelled, rescheduling is free. In 2026, Kangra's Tourism Department suspended paragliding at Bir-Billing for the monsoon from 15 Jul to 15 Sep (The Tribune, July 2026).

Shimla

Our Shimla–Manali Honeymoon Classic is from ₹21,999 per person for 6 days: Shimla's Mall Road and Kufri, then Manali with a Solang day, an Old Manali brunch and a candlelit dinner. It is the slower trip, and better for couples or parents than the backpacker circuit.

Ladakh

Our Manali–Leh Bike Expedition is from ₹36,999 per person for 9 days, riding north through the Atal Tunnel and over the high passes to Leh, then Nubra and Pangong. Permits, a support truck with a mechanic and an oxygen cylinder in every vehicle are listed, and the acclimatisation day in Leh is mandatory. Your travel to Manali and home from Leh is set in the written quote. If you are going on your own, read our solo trip to Ladakh guide, and for the wider state, our Himachal destination guide.

How we help

We plan Manali and Kasol trips for friends from Ahmedabad with the Delhi leg, the Volvo, stays and activities in one written quote, with GST shown before you pay. Tell us your dates, how many of you are going and whether you want Bir or Ladakh on the end: start with a message.

FAQs

How much does a Manali Kasol trip cost per person? Our 6-day Manali–Kasol Backpacker Circuit is from ₹15,999 per person from Delhi, with overnight Volvo transport, stays with breakfast and dinner, the listed activities and permits, and a trip captain (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). GST is added in the written quote.

What does a Manali and Kasol trip cost for four friends? From ₹63,996 for four on the 6-day backpacker trip, before GST. Travel from Ahmedabad to Delhi and back is extra, and we can price it in the same quote.

Do you need a permit to visit Rohtang Pass? Yes. Every vehicle going up for tourism needs a permit from rohtangpermits.hp.gov.in: ₹500 plus a ₹50 congestion charge for a car, jeep or MUV, issued online for the next two days only (checked October 2026). Our backpacker trip goes to Solang, not Rohtang.

Is the monsoon a good time for Manali and Kasol? It is the riskiest time. Landslides blocked the Kullu–Manali highway at several points in August 2025, and paragliding at Bir-Billing was suspended from 15 Jul to 15 Sep 2026. March to June and mid-September to November are easier.

Can you add Bir Billing to a Manali Kasol trip? Yes. A tandem flight from the Billing launch is from ₹3,499 per person, or the 3-day Bir Billing Flight Weekend from Delhi is from ₹9,999. Flights depend on the morning's weather.
