The story

Dubai Ice Rink is an Olympic-sized ice rink inside Dubai Mall, on the ground floor between the waterfall atrium and the souk, and one of Emaar's attractions. A public session gives you 90 minutes on the ice, and the ticket includes skates and socks; there are lockers for your things. Beginners can use skating aids to hold on to, and the rink runs DJ disco sessions with a snowfall on the ice on some evenings. The operator sells three kinds of ticket: any public session, a disco night session, and any session with a hot chocolate and marshmallows.
