How much does a Thailand trip from India cost per person?

Here are our five planned Thailand trips, arranged by the kind of holiday each one suits. Prices are per person, as listed on 12 Oct 2026.

What is in the price

Each of these trips lists return flights from Ahmedabad, hotel stays on twin sharing with daily breakfast, transfers, the listed activities and a trip captain. The Islands & Street-Food Nights trip also includes four dinners and two island days on private longtail boats. None of the five has fixed departure dates yet, so the price is confirmed for your dates in the written quote.

Some "starting at" Thailand prices you see online don't say whether flights are included. When you compare, check whether return flights from your city are in the number.

What do day trips and tickets cost on top?

The activities listed on each trip are already included. These are the day trips and tickets people most often add, with our prices on 12 Oct 2026.

Private transfers are priced per vehicle, not per person, which helps families. Suvarnabhumi Airport to a Bangkok hotel is from ₹2,435 per vehicle (sedan), and Bangkok to a Pattaya hotel is from ₹4,906 per vehicle.

What does a Thailand trip cost if you plan it yourself?

Planning it yourself can cost less or more than a package, depending on the fares and hotels you find for your dates. We don't print average flight or hotel figures, because an average won't match your dates. These are the lines you will pay.

The last line is not a cost, but it is money you need with you or in your account, so plan for it.

To compare fairly, add up these lines for the same dates and hotel standard, then set the total against a package price that includes flights.

Is Thailand visa-free for Indians in 2026?

Yes, for tourism. From 15 Sep 2026, Indian ordinary passport holders can stay up to 30 days without a visa, down from 60 days before (Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi, checked 12 Oct 2026). Before you fly:

• Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the day you land.
• File the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card within 3 days before arrival, only at tdac.immigration.go.th.
• Carry proof of onward travel within 30 days, and be ready to show 20,000 baht per person if asked.

Should you plan 5 days or 7 days?

Five days (four nights) is enough for one region done properly: Bangkok with Pattaya, or Chiang Mai on its own. Bangkok and Pattaya suit a first trip with parents, because the drives are short and the days can be paced.

Six or seven days is what most people need for the islands. Island days are full days on the water, so you want a rest day between them. If your leave is short, a 5-day trip over a long weekend uses fewer leave days.

What does a couple or a family of four pay?

Multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers. Children's prices depend on age and on whether they need their own bed, so we price them in your quote. These totals are before GST and TCS.

When is the weather best, and when is it cheapest?

The Thai Meteorological Department's outlook for August to October 2026 describes August and September as the wettest months for most of the country. October is the change from the rainy season to the cool season: upper Thailand gets drier and cooler from mid-October, while southern Thailand, where Phuket and Krabi are, still gets heavy rain through the month.

In practice, Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai work well from late October, and for island days around Phuket and Krabi we suggest November onwards. Maya Bay on Phi Phi closes to visitors in August and September, and this year it was set to reopen on 1 Oct 2026 (Time Out Bangkok, 29 Sep 2026).

We won't promise you a "cheap month", because the price depends on flights and hotels for your exact dates. If your dates can move, ask us to price two or three date options and compare them side by side.

What is not included in a Thailand package price?

Our Thailand trip pages list these exclusions:

Also budget for national park fees on island tours that don't include them, and keep the funds immigration may ask to see. GST and TCS are added to every overseas package and shown in your quote before you pay.

Can you get vegetarian or Jain food in Thailand?

Yes, with a little planning. Several of our day trips offer Indian food: the Coral Island speedboat tour has an Indian or Thai lunch, the Chao Phraya cruise has an Indian buffet departure, and Safari World has an Indian buffet lunch option. For Jain meals, tell us when you enquire; your trip captain checks each meal with the operator before you pay.
