5-Day Thailand Itinerary from India 2026: Trips from ₹36,999

5-Day Thailand Itinerary from India 2026: Trips from ₹36,999

Five days in Thailand from India works best as one region done properly: Bangkok and Pattaya on our 5-day, 4-night trip from ₹36,999 per person, or Chiang Mai from ₹44,999, both with return flights from Ahmedabad (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). For Phuket and Krabi beaches, our island trip runs six days, not five, from ₹49,999 per person.

All three trips include return flights from Ahmedabad, 4-star hotels on twin sharing with daily breakfast, all transfers and the listed activities, and a trip captain with local crew. Lunches on free days, optional add-ons, alcohol, shopping, tips and travel insurance are not included. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote.

Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Visa rule checked with the Tourism Authority of Thailand's newsroom in October 2026.

How do you spend 5 days in Thailand from India?

Pick one region and give it all three middle days. Day 1 and day 5 go mostly to flying and transfers, so five days means three full days on the ground. Adding Phuket to Bangkok and Pattaya adds a domestic flight and another hotel change, and the trip turns into packing.

Five days also fits a long weekend well. In 2026–27, two examples from Ahmedabad:

  • Christmas: Thursday 24 Dec to Monday 28 Dec 2026 uses two days of leave if your office closes on Christmas Day, which is a Friday this year.
  • Republic Day: Friday 22 Jan to Tuesday 26 Jan 2027 uses two days of leave, with Republic Day on the Tuesday.

The price for your dates is confirmed in the written quote.

Bangkok and Pattaya or Phuket: which route suits you?

RouteOur tripLengthFrom (per person)Suits
Bangkok and PattayaBangkok & Pattaya: City of Lights5 days, 4 nights₹36,999A first trip, families with parents, friends
Chiang MaiChiang Mai: Northern Soul5 days, 4 nights₹44,999Temples, cooler hills, an elephant sanctuary with no riding
Phuket and KrabiPhuket–Krabi Island Hopper6 days, 5 nights₹49,999Couples, friends and families who want beaches and boat days

Bangkok and Pattaya is the gentler choice for elderly parents. The drive from Bangkok to Pattaya is around two hours, the sights are close together, and anyone who would rather skip the water sports on Coral Island can stay on the beach.

Phuket and Krabi is the beach choice. Island days are long days on speedboats, which bounce on open water; the back seats are the steadier ones. It needs the extra day, because you want a slower day between two boat trips.

Chiang Mai suits families who prefer temples and markets to beaches, with a full day at an elephant sanctuary where you feed, walk and bathe the elephants and nobody rides them.

How much does a 5-day Thailand trip cost per person?

From ₹36,999 per person on the Bangkok and Pattaya trip and ₹44,999 on the Chiang Mai trip, with return flights from Ahmedabad. For a couple or a group, multiply by the number of travellers. Children are priced in the quote, by age and bed. These totals are before GST and TCS.

What does each day look like on the Bangkok and Pattaya route?

This is the plan on our trip page, with notes for families.

2BangkokThe Grand Palace at opening time, the Emerald Buddha, the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho; Asiatique by the river in the eveningGo early, before the heat and the crowds

Dress for the Grand Palace

The palace enforces a dress code at the gate. Its official site (royalgrandpalace.th, checked October 2026) lists no sleeveless shirts, see-through tops, shorts, torn or tight trousers and mini skirts. The palace opens at 8:30 AM and tickets are sold until 3:30 PM. On our trip the entry is in the price; pack a shirt with sleeves and trousers or a long skirt for everyone, children included.

What does each day look like on the Phuket route?

Our Phuket–Krabi Island Hopper runs six days and five nights:

  1. Phuket: land and spend the evening in Old Phuket Town, with its Sino-Portuguese shophouses, then sunset at Karon or Kata.
  2. Phi Phi: a speedboat day to Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Monkey Beach, with lunch on Phi Phi Don.
  3. Across to Krabi: by road or ferry, and an evening in Ao Nang.
  4. Four islands: Poda, Chicken Island and Tup Island, where a sandbar appears at low tide, with snorkelling at each.
  5. Railay and the mangroves: kayaking at Ao Thalane in the morning and Railay beach, reachable only by boat, in the afternoon.
  6. Home: a last morning and the flight back.

If you only have five days

Drop the Krabi side and keep Phuket: arrive on day 1, take the Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Day on day 2, keep day 3 free for the beach or Old Phuket Town, add a second boat day or a spa on day 4, and fly home on day 5. We price that as a custom quote. Boat days can be rescheduled in bad weather, so keep one day free.

Where do you find vegetarian and Jain food on the way?

Breakfast is included every day on all three trips. The meals that need planning are lunches on boat days and dinners on free evenings.

  • Tell us at enquiry. We check each included meal, such as the Phi Phi buffet lunch or the Coral Island beach lunch, with the operator before you pay.
  • Say it clearly in restaurants. Many Thai dishes use fish sauce or shrimp paste, so "vegetarian" alone is not enough; ask for no fish sauce and no egg if you need that.
  • Jain meals without onion, garlic or root vegetables are easiest at Indian restaurants; your trip captain can point you to one near the hotel.
  • Carry dry snacks such as khakhra or thepla for boat days, when lunch is set and the day is long.

What do Indians need to enter Thailand in 2026?

No visa for a holiday. From 15 Sep 2026, Indian passport holders can stay up to 30 days visa-free for tourism, replacing the earlier 60-day rule (TAT News, the Tourism Authority of Thailand's newsroom, checked October 2026). A five or six-day trip fits easily. The same notice limits entries through land-border checkpoints to two a calendar year; it sets no such limit for arrivals by air.

Before you fly:

  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). Every non-Thai visitor completes it online at tdac.immigration.go.th, up to three days before arrival; for a 5 May arrival, the earliest date is 2 May (Thai Immigration Bureau manual and TAT, checked October 2026). Each family member needs one.
  • Passport. Our trip pages ask for at least six months' validity from departure.
  • Onward ticket. Your return flight is in the trip, so keep the e-ticket handy at immigration.

For extensions and what immigration may ask for, read our Thailand visa guide for Indians.
