Andaman Trip Cost from Ahmedabad 2026: 5–6 Days from ₹38,999

A 6-day Andaman trip from Ahmedabad costs from ₹38,999 per person with return flights, five nights across Port Blair, Havelock and Neil, inter-island ferries, breakfast and dinner, and one first scuba dive or guided snorkel (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). Our slower 5-day Havelock and Neil honeymoon trip is from ₹54,999 per person without flights, and a first scuba dive on its own is from ₹6,999.
The 6-day trip includes return flights from Ahmedabad to Port Blair via Chennai or Kolkata; the honeymoon trip starts in Port Blair, and we can add flights to the same quote. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote; TCS applies only to trips abroad, so an Andaman quote shows GST alone.
Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Diving age and medical rules checked with PADI, flying-after-diving with Divers Alert Network, and monsoon dates with the India Meteorological Department, in October 2026.
How much does an Andaman trip from Ahmedabad cost?
These are our Andaman trips and the dive day, with prices per person as listed on 16 Oct 2026.
| Our trip | Length | From (per person) | Flights from Ahmedabad | What the days look like |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andaman: Islands & Coral Days | 6 days, 5 nights | ₹38,999 | Included, via Chennai or Kolkata | Port Blair, Havelock and Neil, with one dive or snorkel |

| Andaman: First Breath Underwater | Full day | ₹6,999 | Not applicable | A first scuba dive off Havelock with a PADI professional |
The two trips are priced for different things. Islands & Coral Days is the complete first visit, flights and dinners included. Havelock, Slowly is built for honeymoons: a slower pace on Havelock and Neil, with flights added separately.
What do the Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island trips include?
Andaman: Islands & Coral Days, from ₹38,999
- Return flights Ahmedabad to Port Blair, via Chennai or Kolkata
- Five nights: two in Port Blair, two on Havelock and one on Neil
- All inter-island catamaran ferries in premium class
- Daily breakfast and dinner
- One discovery scuba dive or a guided snorkel, with equipment
- Island permits and a trip captain throughout
The days run Port Blair (Corbyn's Cove, then Cellular Jail and its light-and-sound show after dark), the morning catamaran to Havelock and Radhanagar for sunset, a boat to Elephant Beach for the dive or snorkel, the short ferry to Neil for Bharatpur and Laxmanpur, and the ferry back to Port Blair. Lunches, extra dives beyond the first, seaplanes and private boat charters are not included.
Andaman: Havelock, Slowly, from ₹54,999
This trip lists four nights, all inter-island ferries in premium class, the Elephant Beach boat with snorkelling gear, transfers and permits. Flights to Port Blair, scuba, meals beyond breakfast and alcohol are extra. It opens with an evening at Cellular Jail, then gives you Radhanagar at sunset, a first snorkel at Elephant Beach, where the reef starts in waist-deep water, and a day on Neil, now called Shaheed Dweep, for the natural rock bridge at low tide.
Good to know before you go
Our trip pages flag a few things worth planning for. Mobile data is thin on Neil and patchy on Havelock, so tell your family at home. Use reef-safe sunscreen, because the coral is alive and protected, and standing on it is illegal. Alcohol is restricted on some islands and not sold on ferries. For December to February, book early, because ferries and Havelock rooms fill first.
How do the ferries between Port Blair and Havelock work?
There is no road or bridge between the islands, so every move is by boat. Private catamarans and government ferries both run between Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil (Shaheed Dweep). Makruzz, one of the private operators, gives about 90 minutes from Port Blair to Havelock, about 60 minutes from Havelock to Neil and about 90 minutes from Neil back to Port Blair, and asks passengers to arrive 45 to 60 minutes before departure with photo ID (makruzz.com, checked October 2026). It also advises booking 7 to 10 days ahead in its peak season, October to May.
On both our trips, the inter-island ferries are booked by us in premium class and are in the price. Sailings depend on the weather and the timetable can move, so on Havelock, Slowly we build a buffer before your flight home. Government ferry timetables and fares change through the year, so if you are booking ferries yourself, check them before booking.
How much does a first scuba dive cost, and who can do it?
Andaman: First Breath Underwater is a full day on Havelock from ₹6,999 per person. It is a first dive for beginners: training in shallow water first, then a guided reef dive of 30 to 40 minutes with a PADI professional beside you, with all gear, the boat, underwater photos and video, lunch and a logbook entry included. Getting to Havelock is not included, and we help you choose the ferry. Islands & Coral Days already includes one discovery dive or a guided snorkel, so you only need this day if you are on the honeymoon trip or want a second dive.
PADI sets these rules for Discover Scuba Diving, its programme for first-time divers (PADI, checked October 2026):
- Age: at least 10 years old, with no upper age limit. Our dive day also sets 10 as its minimum.
- Depth: up to 12 metres on the open-water dive.
- Medical: you fill in a medical questionnaire first, and anyone with a medical condition needs a doctor's statement that they are fit to dive. Our trip page asks for this at booking, especially for asthma or heart conditions.
- Swimming: no certificate is needed, but you should be comfortable in the water and able to stay at the surface.
How long should you wait before flying home?
Divers Alert Network recommends a surface interval of at least 12 hours before flying after a single no-decompression dive, and at least 18 hours after diving on several days (DAN, checked October 2026). On Islands & Coral Days the dive is on day 3 and the flight home on day 6, so the gap is comfortable. If you add dives, plan your last one at least a day before you fly.
When is the sea calm in the Andaman Islands?
The India Meteorological Department's normal dates put the southwest monsoon over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands around 22 May (IMD, new normal monsoon dates, checked October 2026). Our trip pages give the monsoon as May to September, with rough crossings, and the best underwater visibility as November to April.
That makes November to April the season we plan Andaman trips around, with December to February the busiest, when ferries and rooms fill first. Our December travel guide explains how the Andamans compare with Goa, Kerala and Rajasthan in that month. In the monsoon, crossings are rough and sailings can move, so we don't suggest it for a first visit or a honeymoon with fixed flights.
What does a honeymoon couple or a family pay?
Multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers. Children's prices depend on age and bed, so we price them in your quote. These totals are before GST.
| Who is travelling | Trip | Total from |
|---|---|---|
| Couple | Islands & Coral Days, 6 days, flights included | ₹77,998 |
| Honeymoon couple | Havelock, Slowly, 5 days, flights extra | ₹1,09,998 |
| Honeymoon couple | Havelock, Slowly plus a first dive each | ₹1,23,996 |
| Family of four adults | Islands & Coral Days, 6 days, flights included | ₹1,55,996 |
| Four friends | First Breath Underwater, one dive each | ₹27,996 |
For honeymooners comparing the two: Islands & Coral Days costs less and includes flights and dinners, while Havelock, Slowly spends its time on Havelock and Neil, and adds a dive only if you want one.
With parents or children
Most of an Andaman week is boats and easy beach time, which suits parents who are comfortable getting on and off a ferry. Several days of sun and crossings still need reasonable stamina. Children under 10 cannot do the scuba dive; the snorkel at Elephant Beach, where the reef starts in waist-deep water, is the gentler option with an adult alongside. Islands & Coral Days includes breakfast and dinner every day; tell us about vegetarian or Jain meals when you enquire, and we check them with the hotels before you pay.
If you want a quieter India trip with fewer crowds, our offbeat places in India guide has more ideas.
