Andaman: Islands & Coral Days
Port Blair, Havelock & Neil, Andaman Islands
Highlights
- Radhanagar Beach at sunrise, before the day boats arrive
- First-time scuba or snorkel over live coral at Elephant Beach
- Bharatpur and Laxmanpur on Neil — glass water, no crowds
- Cellular Jail and the sound-and-light show at Port Blair
- Bioluminescent plankton on a clear night, if the moon cooperates
The story
The Andamans are further from Ahmedabad than Bangkok, and they feel it. Water that goes from glass to deep blue in ten metres, sand that squeaks, and islands small enough to cycle across.
Havelock for the beaches and the diving, Neil for the slow afternoons, Port Blair for the one piece of history you should not skip — Cellular Jail, where the lights go down and the walls do the talking.
