The story

Seven Paintings is a dinner and a show in one, made by Dinner Tales and served at Shana's, on the 30th floor of Sofitel Dubai Downtown. Over two hours you eat seven courses, each named after an artist - Angelo, Banksy, Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, Dali and Van Gogh, as the venue names them - while Leonardo da Vinci and the Mona Lisa guide the story. The venue calls it fun-dining: animation and theatre around the table, playful puzzles, and moments when you paint with the food and make an edible picture of your own. Dinner Tales runs three shows a day, at 6, 8 and 10 pm, and serves a vegetarian menu alongside the regular one; the operator sells both at the same price.
