What happens

1. Step 01 Check in

   Reach HeliDubai inside the Dubai Police Academy, Al Sufouh 1, opposite Mall of the Emirates, 45 minutes before your flight, as HeliDubai asks. The operator lists these flights without a transfer.

2. Step 02 Briefing and boarding

   A safety briefing, then out to the helicopter with your group only.

3. Step 03 The flight

   12, 17, 22, 30 or 40 minutes, by the option you book. The longer the flight, the more of the city it covers: the coast and the Palm first, then Downtown, the Creek and the Dubai Frame, and on the 40-minute flight, Jebel Ali.

4. Step 04 Back on the ground

   Land where you took off; Mall of the Emirates is across the road.

Know before you go

• One price covers the helicopter for up to five guests, as the operator gives it ('Upto 5 Pax'). A smaller group pays the same price.
• Check in 45 minutes before your flight, by HeliDubai's own site.
• Weight limit: 115 kg per passenger per seat (HeliDubai). Give your captain each guest's weight band when you enquire.
• Children aged two and above may fly, subject to HeliDubai's safety and booking conditions.
• HeliDubai's own site says flights may be rescheduled or cancelled when weather, visibility, air-traffic control or operational conditions prevent a safe flight. Keep a spare day in your stay, and ask your captain what the operator's terms are if the flight is moved.
• HeliDubai's pages give two different sets of daily flying hours. Your captain confirms your flight time with the operator.
• The operator writes the flight lengths as 0.12, 0.17, 0.22, 0.3 and 0.4 hours; they are the 12, 17, 22, 30 and 40-minute tours HeliDubai sells. The minutes on this page are HeliDubai's.
• Anyone prone to motion sickness should take the shorter flights and eat lightly beforehand.
• Availability and the flight time are confirmed by the operator only when your captain books. The operator can decline a booking if the price has changed, the slot is full or the product is on stop-sale, and you are told before you pay.
• Prices are in INR for the whole group of up to five. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote.
