The story

Al Ain is the other side of the UAE from the one most visitors see: an inland city of Abu Dhabi emirate, on the border with Oman, that Abu Dhabi's tourism board calls much quieter and slower than downtown Abu Dhabi. Its name means 'the spring', and Visit Abu Dhabi describes it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's oldest permanently inhabited settlements.
