| Australia East Coast Classic | 9 days, 8 nights | Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Cairns, the reef and the Daintree | ₹2,29,999 |
Three of the five come in under ₹2 lakh per person with flights. None has fixed departure dates, so the price is confirmed for your dates in the written quote.
One add-on most Sydney visitors ask about is a look inside the Opera House. Our Sydney Opera House: Inside the Shells guided tour is from ₹4,499 per person and fits into any of the trips that start in Sydney.
What do the Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Uluru trips include?
The inclusions are the same on all five; what changes is the days.
Sydney + Melbourne City Duo, 7 days
Sydney first: the Manly ferry, Bondi and a free day, when the optional BridgeClimb is the usual pick. Then Melbourne's laneways, a Great Ocean Road day to the Twelve Apostles, and Queen Victoria Market.
Reef & Rainforest: Cairns Deep Dive, 6 days
Two outer-reef days from a moored pontoon, with snorkelling and an optional introductory dive, plus the Daintree, Mossman Gorge and a waterfall day on the Atherton Tablelands.
Red Centre: Uluru Expedition, 5 days
Sunrise and sunset at Uluru, the 10.6-kilometre base walk on flat ground (with shorter viewing options), the Valley of the Winds walk at Kata Tjuta and an evening at the Field of Light.
East Coast Classic and the Honeymoon trip
The 9-day East Coast Classic combines Sydney, the Blue Mountains, a reef pontoon day, the Kuranda railway and the Daintree. The 8-day honeymoon trip pairs a harbour-view room in Sydney with the Whitsundays, a catamaran sail to Whitehaven Beach and an optional seaplane over Heart Reef.
Which Australia trips include flights from Ahmedabad?
All five list return flights from Ahmedabad plus the internal flights on the route:
| Trip | Internal flights on the route |
|---|---|
| Red Centre: Uluru Expedition | Via Sydney or Melbourne to Ayers Rock airport |
| Reef & Rainforest: Cairns Deep Dive | None listed; the trip starts in Cairns |
| Sydney + Melbourne City Duo | Sydney to Melbourne |
| Australia Honeymoon: Sails & Sands | Sydney to Hamilton Island and back |
| Australia East Coast Classic | Sydney to Cairns |
The Opera House tour is a day activity and does not include flights. We don't give average airfares, because an average won't match your dates; your quote prices the actual flights.
What does the Australian visitor visa add to the cost?
Indian tourists need a visa before leaving India. Tourism Australia says that unless you are an Australian citizen, you need a valid visa to enter, and that all passport holders other than New Zealanders must apply before leaving home (australia.com, checked October 2026). For a holiday, that means the Visitor visa (subclass 600):
| Question | Answer, from Tourism Australia |
|---|---|
| Where do you apply? | Online, through an ImmiAccount |
| How long can you stay? | Generally up to three months; up to 12 months in certain circumstances |
| Do children need their own? | Yes, one application per person, including children |
| Is health insurance needed? | Yes, for the whole stay |
| What does it cost? | A fee is payable; check the current charge with the Department of Home Affairs before booking |
The Department of Home Affairs sets the charge and can change it, so we don't print a figure; check the current amount on its website before booking and budget it for each traveller.
On our trips, visa filing is included: we prepare the application with you. We allow four to eight weeks for the visa in our planning, which is our allowance, not an official processing time. Travel insurance is not in the trip price, and Tourism Australia says visitors must keep health insurance for the whole stay.
Which months suit each part of Australia?
Australia's seasons run opposite to India's. Tourism Australia gives summer as December to February, autumn March to May, winter June to August and spring September to November. What that means for each trip:
| Region | Our trips | What Tourism Australia and the Bureau of Meteorology say |
|---|---|---|
| Uluru and the Red Centre | Red Centre | April and May are picked out for the outback; summer days are very hot; spring brings cooler days |
| Cairns and the reef | Reef & Rainforest, East Coast Classic | June to August is peak season; the tropical wet season runs from October to April |
| Sydney and Melbourne | City Duo, Honeymoon, East Coast Classic | Summer days in the major capitals average about 20°C to 37°C; winter is June to August |
In winter, Tourism Australia gives average temperatures from 11°C in the south to 30°C in the north. The Bureau of Meteorology also treats October to April as northern Australia's wet season.
For Indian holidays, that works out like this: a Diwali trip lands in the Australian spring, a May or June summer-holiday trip in late autumn or winter, and a Christmas and New Year trip in the Australian summer. For Cairns and the reef, a June to August trip is in the dry, peak season; for Uluru, we suggest April or May, or the cooler spring months.
What does a couple or a family of four pay?
Multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers. Children are priced in your quote, by age and bed. These totals are before GST and TCS, the visa charge and insurance.
| Who is travelling | Trip | Total from |
|---|---|---|
| Couple | Red Centre: Uluru Expedition, 5 days | ₹3,19,998 |
| Couple | Sydney + Melbourne, 7 days | ₹3,79,998 |
| Couple | Honeymoon: Sails & Sands, 8 days | ₹4,39,998 |
| Four adults | Reef & Rainforest, 6 days | ₹6,99,996 |
| Four adults | Sydney + Melbourne, 7 days | ₹7,59,996 |
| Four adults | East Coast Classic, 9 days | ₹9,19,996 |
Adding the Opera House tour for four people costs ₹17,996. If you want to join two regions or add days, see how our customised travel plans work.
Is Australia easy for vegetarian travellers and elderly parents?
Vegetarian and Jain food
Breakfast is included every day; other meals are paid as you go, except where an experience lists one. In Sydney and Melbourne, Indian and vegetarian restaurants are easy to find. On reef boats and at Uluru, meals are set by the operator or the resort, so tell us at enquiry and we ask ahead for vegetarian or Jain options. If you plan to carry home-made food such as theplas or khakhra, check Australia's rules on bringing food into the country before you pack, and declare what you carry.
Elderly parents
The days differ by trip:
- Sydney + Melbourne: plenty of walking around the harbour, laneways and markets, and one long day on the Great Ocean Road.
- Red Centre: the base walk is 10.6 km on flat ground, started at dawn, with shorter viewing options.
- Cairns and the East Coast: reef days mean hours in open water from a boat, though the pontoon has a semi-submersible for anyone who would rather stay dry.
For children, the optional Sydney bridge climb needs them to be at least 8 years old and 120 cm tall. For a region-by-region overview, read our Australia destination guide.
