The story
From the ferry it is a set of white shells. Inside it is a working opera house with seven venues, and the story of a giant cost overrun and the political battle that drove its architect out of the country is better than most operas.
The tour goes into the concert hall and the theatres when rehearsals allow, which is the part you cannot see from the forecourt.
