The story

Topgolf Megacity is Topgolf's venue in Bangkok: 102 climate-controlled hitting bays, each with its own screen, where up to six players take turns hitting balls at targets and the game keeps the score (topgolfthailand.com, checked 24 Sep 2026). You do not need to play golf. A staff member explains the games, you take a club, wave it over the ball dispenser, aim for a target and watch the points land on the screen, with food and drinks served at the bay. The venue opens at 9 am every day, closing at 11 pm Sunday to Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday.

What it feels like: loud, social and a little competitive. The first few swings go anywhere, somebody's uncle turns out to be annoyingly good, and the children cheer every ball that reaches a target whether it scores or not. Between turns you sit at the bay with a drink and a plate, watching the screen and the other bays down the line. On the venue's own price list, evenings and weekends cost more than weekday mornings.
