The story

What happens

The plan as the operator runs it. Start times and pickup are confirmed for your date.

1. Step 01 Pickup

   Collection from your Phuket hotel by shared transfer; the pickup time and the pier come with your voucher.

2. Step 02 Out to the dive sites

   By boat from the pier. The dive sites, the order of the dives and the boat are set by the operator on the day, by weather and sea conditions. Certified divers dive at Racha Yai; the beginners' sites are confirmed by your captain.

3. Step 03 Briefing and two dives

   A briefing and equipment check before each dive, then two dives with the operator's instructors or guides. What happens between the dives, and whether lunch is served, is confirmed with the operator.

4. Step 04 Return

   Back to the pier and your hotel; the whole day runs about 8 hours by the operator.

Know before you go

• Certified-diver option: the price is only for divers who already hold a scuba certification. Carry your certification card; your captain confirms what proof and experience the operator asks for.
• Beginners' option: the operator calls it Discover Scuba Diving for beginners. The operator's own rules on swimming ability, minimum age and health are confirmed through your captain before you pay; we do not know them yet.
• Diving has health requirements. Tell your captain about any heart, lung, ear, sinus or blood-pressure condition, pregnancy, or recent illness before booking; the operator may ask for a medical form or a doctor's note.
• Keep the dive day away from your flight home, and ask your captain how long the operator advises between diving and flying.
• Sea conditions decide the day. The operator can change the dive sites or cancel for weather, and your captain tells you if your date is affected.
• If you are prone to seasickness, take your usual tablet before you board.
• Carry swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes.
• Food: the operator does not say whether lunch is served. Tell your captain about vegetarian or Jain needs so it can be checked.
• The operator gives no child or infant rates; tell your captain the ages of any teenagers so the operator's age rules can be checked.
• Availability is confirmed by the operator when your captain books; a booking can be declined by the supplier for a price change, allocation or stop-sale.
• Prices are per person in INR. GST + TCS on international bookings are shown in your written quote.
