Three running steps down the slope and the ground stops being there. Fifteen to twenty minutes airborne over Interlaken with Lake Thun on one side and Lake Brienz on the other, both that particular glacial turquoise, and the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau standing along the skyline.

The landing field is near the town centre. The pilot will ask you to lift your legs and then stand up, in that order. Photographs and video are shot from a camera on the wing, and are ready before you have stopped talking about it.
