The experience outline
The plan as the operator runs it. Start times and pickup are confirmed for your date.
- Step 01
Afternoon pickup
A 4x4 collects you from your Dubai hotel in the afternoon. On the shared option the vehicle collects guests from several hotels, so allow up to 45 minutes of pickups before you leave the city. The private option collects only your group.
- Step 02
Into the dunes
About 45 minutes' drive to the desert. Tyre pressure is lowered at the edge of the sand and the convoy sets off: 25 to 30 minutes of dune driving.
- Step 03
Sunset on the dunes
A stop on a high dune as the sun goes down. Walk, take photographs, and watch the colour of the sand change.
- Step 04
The camp
A short camel ride, henna, Arabic coffee and dates. Shisha is served at your seat on the shisha option; the VIP majlis option seats you in a reserved majlis area.
- Step 05
Dinner and shows
Buffet dinner with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, then the camp's shows for about an hour after dark.
- Step 06
Return
Drop back at your hotel at around 10 pm.

- Return transfer in a 4x4: pickup from Dubai city hotels shared with other guests on the shared options, or a 4x4 for your group only on the private options
- The dune drive, the sunset stop and entry to the desert camp
- Camp seating: standard seating, or a reserved VIP majlis on the VIP majlis options
- Dinner at the camp with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
- The camp's activities and shows on the day: a short camel ride, henna, tanoura and fire shows
- Shisha at your seat on the 'with shisha' options
- Add-ons priced separately: a two-drinks package per person, and a private majlis for a group of up to six
Not included
- Quad biking, dune buggy rides, sandboarding sessions and photographs sold at the camp
- Drinks beyond what the camp serves with dinner; the two-drinks package is a separate add-on
- Pickup from hotels outside Dubai city (Sharjah, Jebel Ali, the Palm) unless the operator confirms it for your hotel; a surcharge may apply
- Tips for the driver, which are customary but not compulsory
