A 2-day Statue of Unity trip from Ahmedabad costs from ₹8,999 per person with us, with return AC transport, a night in Kevadia, breakfast and dinner, the viewing gallery ticket and Jungle Safari entry included (prices checked 16 Oct 2026). If you go on your own, the official viewing gallery ticket is ₹380 for an adult and ₹230 for a child, and the whole Ekta Nagar complex is closed every Monday.
The trip price covers return AC transport from Ahmedabad, one night in a Kevadia hotel or the tent city, breakfast and dinner, Statue of Unity entry with the 153-metre viewing gallery ticket, and Jungle Safari Park entry. Lunches, the Ekta Cruise and river rafting are extra. GST and TCS are shown in your written quote; TCS applies only to trips abroad, so there is none on this one.
Prices checked 16 Oct 2026 from our live trip pages. Ticket prices, timings and the Monday closure checked on soutickets.in, the official ticket site of the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA), in October 2026.
How much does a Statue of Unity trip from Ahmedabad cost?
From ₹8,999 per person for two days and one night, with transport, the stay, two meals and the main tickets in one price. Here is our trip next to two others that families from Ahmedabad often pair with it:
| Trip | Length | What is included | From (per person) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Statue of Unity & the Narmada | 2 days, 1 night | Return AC transport from Ahmedabad, 1 night, breakfast and dinner, viewing gallery ticket, Jungle Safari entry | ₹8,999 |
| Rann of Kutch: The White Desert | 3 days, 2 nights | Return AC transport, a Bhuj hotel and a bhunga tent, breakfasts and dinners, Rann permit | ₹12,999 |
| Ahmedabad: The Heritage Morning Walk | 3 hours | A guided walk through the old city's pols, with breakfast at Manek Chowk | ₹1,299 |
Here is what a family or group pays for the Statue of Unity trip, before GST. Children are priced in your quote, by age and bed.
| Who is travelling | Total from |
|---|---|
| Couple | ₹17,998 |
| Family of four | ₹35,996 |
| Six people, for example three generations | ₹53,994 |
If you want the heritage walk before you leave, it adds ₹1,299 per person. The walk starts at 7am in the walled city, so it suits a day before the trip rather than the morning you drive out.
What does a 2-day Ekta Nagar plan look like?
SOUADTGA says a full visit takes 8 to 10 hours, depending on what you choose, and recommends staying a couple of days to cover the whole complex. Our trip is built that way:
| Time | Day 1 | Day 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | Leave Ahmedabad; about four hours by road | Jungle Safari Park early, before it warms up |
| Afternoon | The statue: museum, viewing gallery, dam viewpoint | Valley of Flowers and the Cactus Garden |
| Evening | The projection show on the statue after dark | Drive back to Ahmedabad by evening |
The free AC electric buses inside the complex connect the attractions, and SOUADTGA says no ticket is needed for them. Private vehicles are not allowed into the core zone, so you use these buses between stops.
When to go
Start any day from Tuesday to Saturday, so that neither day falls on a Monday. With grandparents or small children, we suggest November to February. SOUADTGA warns that weekends, holidays and seasonal events can be busy, and gallery slots are limited, so tell us your dates early.
Which ticket do you need for the viewing gallery?
You need a Viewing Gallery or Express Entry ticket. SOUADTGA's FAQ says entry tickets alone do not give access to the gallery, and that gallery entry is strictly by pre-selected time slot. These are the official prices for Indian visitors (soutickets.in, checked October 2026):
| Ticket | Adult | Child | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| SoU Entry Ticket | ₹150 | ₹90 | The statue campus, without the gallery |
| SoU Viewing Gallery | ₹380 | ₹230 | The gallery at 153 metres, in 2-hour slots from 8am to 6pm |
| SoU Express Entry | ₹1,030 | ₹1,030 | Priority queue access |
SOUADTGA counts an adult as 16 years and above and a child as 3 to 15 years. It describes the statue as the world's tallest, at 182 metres, with the viewing gallery at 153 metres.
For a family of two adults and two children aged 3 to 15, viewing gallery tickets come to ₹1,220. On our trip, the statue entry and the viewing gallery ticket are already in the price.
Booking rules worth knowing
- Where to book: the official site, booking.soutickets.in, the official app, or the counters at the site.
- ID: carry the original ID you used for the online booking.
- Changes: SOUADTGA's FAQ says rescheduling is not permitted after a booking is confirmed.
- Projection show: it is free, but you have to select it when you book, and places go on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Bags: large bags, suitcases and trolley bags are not permitted, and drones need prior permission.
On which day is the Statue of Unity closed?
Every Monday. SOUADTGA's FAQ says Ekta Nagar is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 6pm, and closed every Monday for maintenance. That applies to the whole complex, so plan both days of a two-day trip between Tuesday and Sunday.
A long weekend that ends on a Monday therefore needs a little care. Leave on the Saturday morning and come back on the Sunday evening, and keep the Monday for rest at home.
What else is there for children and parents at Ekta Nagar?
Plenty, and most of it is cheap. These are the official prices for Indian visitors, adult and child:
| Attraction | Adult | Child | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jungle Safari | ₹200 | ₹125 | Children; included on our trip |
| Children Nutrition Park | ₹200 | ₹125 | Children |
| Cactus Garden and Butterfly Garden | ₹60 | ₹40 | Everyone |
| Arogya Van | ₹50 | ₹30 | Parents and grandparents |
| Glow Garden, evenings | ₹100 | ₹50 | Families after dark |
| Ekta Cruise | ₹413 | ₹207 | Everyone; extra on our trip |
| River rafting at Khalwani | ₹1,000 | Not offered | Ages 15 to 54 only; extra on our trip |
For the Ekta Cruise, SOUADTGA counts a child as up to 6 years. Rafting needs riders aged 15 to 54, weighing up to 100 kg, with valid ID.
For elderly parents
SOUADTGA says it provides priority seating, staff assistance and set access pathways for elderly visitors, and a limited number of wheelchairs at the Help Desk. The gallery is reached by lift and the safari park by vehicle, so the walking on our trip is short and mostly paved. Ask us to book a morning gallery slot, before the afternoon heat.
Vegetarian and Jain food
SOUADTGA's FAQ says the food courts and cafeterias serve pure vegetarian food. The rate chart lists an Ekta Thali at ₹220 and a Tribal Thali at ₹350 at the Ekta Nursery café, served at lunch. Our trip's breakfasts and dinners are vegetarian; for Jain meals, tell us when you enquire.
How do you get there from Ahmedabad?
By road is simplest. SOUADTGA's how-to-reach page puts Ahmedabad airport about 210 km away, or 4 to 4 hours 20 minutes by road, on the route Ahmedabad to Vadodara on the NE-1 expressway, then via Dabhoi to Ekta Nagar.
| Way to go | What SOUADTGA says | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Our trip | Return AC transport from Ahmedabad | Families who want it handled |
| Your own car | About 210 km from Ahmedabad airport; private cars stop outside the core zone | Families with a driver |
| Train | Ekta Nagar station (formerly Kevadia), about 7 km from the statue, with direct trains from Ahmedabad | Couples and small groups |
Parking at the statue is paid and takes UPI or card only. From Ekta Nagar station, SOUADTGA lists free electric buses, pink EV autos, local autos and cabs.
