   Visit the permitted parts of the temple in Madurai. After a break, travel by road to Rameswaram. There is no second appointment to make on arrival. Sleep in Rameswaram.

3. Stage 03

   A day for Ramanathaswamy

   Set aside the morning for the temple visit; leave time for standing and walking through the corridors. A companion can take a shorter visit or rest at the hotel. Spend a second night in Rameswaram.

4. Stage 04

   Return to Madurai

   Take the return road journey without combining it with a tight airport connection. Spend the last night in Madurai; ask about a short city stop only if you want more sightseeing.

5. Stage 05

   Depart from Madurai

   Make your onward rail or flight connection from Madurai. Confirm station or airport and departure time before agreeing the transfer.
