The story

Frost Magical Ice of Siam is an ice attraction in Bang Lamung, on the edge of Pattaya. Outside, a garden of sculptures tells stories from Thai literature, Thai ways of life and the country's famous places; inside, a building held at minus 10 degrees Celsius is filled with shapes carved in ice, among them a dome and an ice cave (Tourism Authority of Thailand, checked 24 Sep 2026). The venue's own page lists four zones: the Himmaphan forest of mythical creatures, an ice city, a snow city and ice skating (Frost's Facebook page, checked 24 Sep 2026).

What it feels like: the shock is the point. You step out of the Pattaya heat, pull on the jacket, and walk into air far colder than an Ahmedabad winter, with your breath showing in front of you. For a child who has never touched snow, the snow city is the part they will talk about at home; grown-ups who have had enough of the cold can head back out to the sculpture garden to thaw.
