The story

Carnival Magic is an evening theme park at Kamala, Phuket, and a sister park of Phuket FantaSea (the two sell a combined ticket). Its own site describes a park of over 40 acres built around Thai festivals and carnivals, open on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm (carnivalmagic.fun, checked 24 Sep 2026). Every admission includes the River Carnival parade show in the park's parade stadium, the Paradium, and the Kingdom of Lights illuminated park; there is also a funfair, street performers, shops and places to eat. The parade runs about 45 minutes at 8:30 pm, with the Paradium gates opening at 8:00 pm; on some announced dates there is an extra show at 6:30 pm. The Kingdom of Lights opens after the parade.

The operator sells it twelve ways: admission alone, admission with the buffet dinner, admission with a Gold seat, or all three together, each as ticket only, with a shared transfer or with a private transfer. What it feels like: you arrive as the light goes, walk through gates into a place that looks like a Thai temple fair built at the scale of a film set, and eat early in a hall the size of a stadium. The parade is the centre of the evening: floats, dancers, music and water, lit up in the dark. Afterwards the Kingdom of Lights comes on and the children run ahead from one glowing display to the next. It is loud, bright and late, and that is the point.

Who this suits, and why: the school-holiday family and the multigenerational group above all, because it is an evening out that grandparents and children enjoy together and the buffet has Indian and vegetarian food; friends and couples who want one big night show on the trip. With toddlers, remember the parade starts at 8:30 pm and the park closes at 11:30 pm.
