How much does a Turkey trip cost from India?

Our five Turkey trips, per person, as listed on 16 Oct 2026:

Our tripLengthFrom (per person)What the days look like
Turkey Express: Istanbul Long Weekend4 days, 3 nights₹54,999Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the bazaars, a Bosphorus boat, a hammam
Turkey Classic: Istanbul & Cappadocia7 days, 6 nights₹99,999Istanbul's old city and Topkapi, a cave hotel, a balloon dawn
Turkey Aegean: Coast & Ruins7 days, 6 nights₹1,04,999Ephesus, the Pamukkale terraces, Hierapolis, a beach day
Turkey Blue Cruise: Gület Sailing6 days, 5 nights₹1,24,999A wooden gulet from Fethiye, Butterfly Valley, the Kekova sunken city
Turkey Honeymoon: Caves & Balloons6 days, 5 nights₹1,34,999A cave suite, a balloon dawn, a Bosphorus dinner cruise

The step from ₹54,999 to ₹99,999 buys three more nights and Cappadocia, which our itinerary reaches by a domestic flight of a little over an hour. The coast trips cover more ground: ruins and towns on the Aegean, or five nights on a boat.

What do the Istanbul, Cappadocia and coast trips include?

Every trip lists return flights from Ahmedabad (other metro departures on request), hand-picked stays with daily breakfast, all transfers and the listed experiences, the visa steps where they apply, and a trip captain with local crew. Meals not listed, optional add-ons, tips and travel insurance are extra. Mosques need modest dress, and scarves are provided.

Istanbul Express, ₹54,999

Three nights in Sultanahmet, close to the main sights: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque (closed to visitors during prayers), the Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, a Bosphorus boat trip and a hammam. Our trip page describes it as gentle for seniors, with no long walks.

Istanbul and Cappadocia, ₹99,999

Istanbul's old city and Topkapi Palace, then a cave hotel in Göreme, a balloon dawn with a second morning held in reserve, the Göreme Open Air Museum, an underground city and the Devrent and Paşabağ valleys. The cobbles, the underground city's stairs and the standing balloon flight make it an active week.

Aegean coast and ruins, ₹1,04,999

Izmir, Ephesus, the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, walked barefoot, Hierapolis and Cleopatra's antique pool, then a beach day and a free day near Kuşadası. Expect uneven ancient streets.

Blue Cruise, ₹1,24,999

Five nights on a wooden gulet out of Fethiye: swim stops, Butterfly Valley, the Ölüdeniz lagoon, with an optional tandem paraglide, and snorkelling over the sunken city at Kekova.

Honeymoon, ₹1,34,999

Istanbul's old city and a Bosphorus dinner cruise, then a cave suite in Cappadocia, sunset wine in the valleys, a balloon flight with a private basket available as an upgrade, and a hammam ritual.

How much does a hot air balloon ride add?

Cappadocia: Balloon at Sunrise is ₹18,999 per person if you book it on its own: a pre-dawn pickup from hotels in Göreme, Ürgüp or Uçhisar, a light breakfast, about 60 minutes in the air, then sparkling wine, a certificate and flight insurance, and back by about nine. For a couple that is ₹37,998.

The Classic and Honeymoon itineraries already include a balloon dawn, so you only pay extra for a private basket on the honeymoon. Flights are cleared or grounded on the morning and are cancelled often for wind, so build in a spare morning. If the operator cancels, you are refunded in full or moved to the next morning. It is cold at dawn even in summer, and the flight is not suitable in pregnancy or for anyone who cannot stand unaided for an hour. Children can skip the flight and still see the valleys.

The Bosphorus sunset cruise, at ₹3,499 per person, is three hours up the strait and back from Eminönü with Turkish tea, an English commentary and hotel pickup in Sultanahmet and Taksim. Our Express and Classic trips include a Bosphorus boat trip; the sunset cruise is for a second, evening crossing as the lights come on.

What do museum tickets in Istanbul cost foreign visitors?

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism's museum site (muze.gov.tr, checked October 2026) shows only some fees, and not for the two sights most people ask about.

SiteWhat muze.gov.tr showed in October 2026
Hagia Sophia History and Experience Museum, Sultanahmet Square€25, roughly ₹2,660; Museum Pass not valid; open daily 9am to 8pm
Ephesus archaeological siteOpen daily 8am to 6pm; fee not shown, check before booking
Topkapi PalaceFee not shown; check before booking
Hagia Sophia visitor galleryFee not shown; check before booking

The History and Experience Museum is a separate building on the square, not the Hagia Sophia monument itself. The rupee figure uses the market rate on 15 Oct 2026. Our Classic itinerary notes that the Harem at Topkapi needs its own ticket. Your written quote lists which entry tickets are included, so there are no surprises at the gate.

Which visa do Indians need for Turkey?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye (mfa.gov.tr, checked October 2026) says Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa. Those holding a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit can get a single-entry e-visa valid for one month, provided they meet certain conditions. Apply for it only on the official site, evisa.gov.tr. Everyone else applies for a visa through a Turkish embassy or consulate before travel.

Your situationVisa routeWhat you get
Valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permitE-visa on evisa.gov.trSingle entry, valid for one month
No such visa or permitVisa from a Turkish embassy or consulateCheck the type and processing time with the mission

The ministry's page does not give an e-visa fee for Indian passports, so check it on evisa.gov.tr before paying. We file the e-visa for travellers who qualify, and handle the embassy route with you for everyone else; start early and check the current processing time with the mission.

Which months suit Turkey?

Turkey's official tourism portal, GoTürkiye (checked October 2026), names September and October as the best months for Cappadocia. It describes Central Anatolia, where Cappadocia is, as having hot summers and cold, snowy winters. The Marmara region around Istanbul has warm to hot summers and chilly, damp winters with occasional snow. For the Mediterranean coast, it suggests summer for swimming and spring and autumn for ruins.

TripWhat GoTürkiye says about the months
Istanbul ExpressSummers warm to hot; winters chilly and damp, with occasional snow
Classic, Honeymoon, balloonSeptember and October are the best months for Cappadocia
Aegean coast and ruinsHot summers, mild winters; we suggest spring or autumn for walking the ruins
Blue CruiseSummer, for swimming on the Mediterranean coast

Our trip pages add that Bosphorus ferries don't run in heavy fog, which happens in winter, and that the upper deck is windy even in summer, so carry a layer.

What does a couple or a family pay?

Multiply the per-person price by the number of travellers. These totals are before GST and TCS, and children are priced in your quote by age and bed.

Who is travellingTripTotal from
CoupleIstanbul Express, 4 days₹1,09,998
CoupleExpress plus the sunset cruise₹1,16,996
CoupleIstanbul and Cappadocia, 7 days₹1,99,998
CoupleHoneymoon, 6 days₹2,69,998
Four adultsIstanbul Express, 4 days₹2,19,996
Four adultsIstanbul and Cappadocia, 7 days₹3,99,996

With elderly parents, the Istanbul Express is the gentlest choice, and the sunset cruise is mostly seated. A 4-day trip starting on a Friday uses two days of leave.
