- Stage 01
Day 1 — Arrival
Arrive in Udaipur and check into a room facing Lake Pichola, which is the entire premise of these three nights. The old town on foot in the late afternoon, then a rooftop dinner with the City Palace lit on one side and the Lake Palace floating in the middle of the water on the other.
- Stage 02
Day 2 — The palace
The City Palace in the morning: the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, built up over four hundred years, with the crystal gallery and courtyards of inlaid mirror. Then the boat from Bansi Ghat at sunset, out past the Lake Palace to Jag Mandir island, which is the hour the whole city is built for.
- Stage 03
Day 3 — Around the lake
Saheliyon ki Bari in the morning, a garden built for the queen's companions by Lake Fateh Sagar, its fountains fed by gravity from the lake. Bagore ki Haveli in the evening for the Dharohar folk dance, performed in a courtyard, ending with a dancer balancing brass pots on her head. Sajjangarh at dusk for the last of the light.

Day 4 — Home
A slow breakfast over the water and the transfer to the airport. Three nights, one lake, and the reason Udaipur gets called the most romantic city in India by people who are usually exaggerating and in this case are not.
