Flight-only guests make their own way to the launch meeting point that the operator names on the voucher; transfer guests are collected from their hotel before dawn. The pickup time is early, typically well before 6 am in winter; your captain confirms the exact time with the voucher.

Inflation and take-off
Watching the balloon fill and stand, the safety briefing, and climbing into the basket. Lift-off around sunrise.
- Step 03
The flight
Roughly 45 minutes to an hour in the air by the tourism authority's description of balloon flights here, the route set by the wind on the day.
- Step 04
Landing and breakfast
A landing in the desert, then breakfast. Where breakfast is served and what accompanies it are confirmed by the operator with the voucher; the tourism authority's page describes a breakfast at an Arabic majlis and a birds-of-prey show as part of the emirate's balloon operator's programme, but the operator names only breakfast, so we do not promise the rest.

Return
Transfer guests are driven back to the hotel; about four and a half hours after pickup.
