Pickup

National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah
The old fort on Al Hisn Road: archaeology, ethnography, pearling and the Al Qasimi family galleries. Open 8 am to 6 pm Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays and the first day of Eid (museum page via visitrasalkhaimah.com). Entry is AED 5 for adults and AED 2 for children by the same page; whether the operator's fare covers it is confirmed by your captain.

Dhayah Fort
The drive north to the palm oasis and the climb of 239 steps to the twin-peaked fort. Views across the date gardens to the mountains and down to the sea. No lighting at the site, so this is a daylight stop.

Al Marjan Island
The man-made islands on the coast: the corniche, the beaches and the resort strip. A stop for photographs and, if time allows, a walk.

Return
Back to your hotel about four and a half hours after pickup.
