The story

The Petronas Twin Towers stand about 452 metres tall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004; they remain the tallest twin towers built anywhere (malaysia.travel, checked 26 Sep 2026). Designed by Cesar Pelli Associates and completed in 1998, the towers are built on a base of two interlocking squares that form an eight-pointed star, a shape drawn from Islamic geometric patterns. The operator's ticket covers the Skybridge, the bridge that links the two towers, and the Observation Deck on the 86th floor, as the sheet names it. Suria KLCC, the shopping mall at the foot of the towers, and KLCC Park with its Lake Symphony fountain, sit alongside.

What it feels like: the Skybridge puts you between the two towers, the second one across from you and the scale of both buildings all around. Up on the 86th floor, the city opens out below: KLCC Park's green in the foreground and the rest of Kuala Lumpur's skyline beyond it. It is a short visit rather than a long one, about 1.5 hours by the operator.

Who this suits, and why: first-time visitors to Kuala Lumpur who want the one landmark everyone recognises, ticked off properly rather than photographed from the pavement; couples and families who can combine it with the Suria KLCC mall and KLCC Park afterwards; and seniors who want a short visit rather than a long day out. A private or shared transfer suits anyone who would rather not manage KL traffic and parking on the day.

What your ticket covers

Opening hours and entry times are confirmed for your date.

  1. Entry with your ticket; the Skybridge, linking the two towers, is part of the visit. Your captain confirms the entry time and the order of the visit with your voucher.

  2. Up to the Observation Deck for the view over KLCC Park and the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The operator gives about 1.5 hours for the ticket-only visit.

  3. With a shared or private transfer, a car collects you from your Kuala Lumpur hotel and returns you after the visit; the operator gives about 2.5 hours door to door for either transfer option.
