The story

MAX Muay Thai Stadium is a boxing stadium on Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya, near the Central Pattaya Road junction and next to King Power Pattaya. It stages Muay Thai, Thailand's national sport, seven nights a week, with four or five fights a night: Monday to Friday from 7 pm to 8:45 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:45 pm to 8:45 pm. Men and women fight, and the stadium's page describes the fighters' traditional rituals as they enter the ring (maxmuaythaistadium.com, checked 24 Sep 2026).

What it feels like: loud, fast and closer than television ever gets you. Before each bout the fighters perform their ritual in the ring, slow and deliberate, and then it turns into Thailand's national sport, fought with fists, elbows, knees and feet. The crowd reacts to every exchange, and from a good seat you hear the kicks land. It is a short evening, over by around 9 pm, which leaves time for dinner afterwards on Sukhumvit Road.

Who this suits, and why: friends groups and bachelor parties who want one proper Thai night out; couples who like sport; solo travellers, because you need no company to enjoy a fight night. It is a full-contact sport, so it will not suit anyone upset by the sight of a fighter being hurt, and parents should judge for themselves before bringing children.
