What we work through with you
Your date and who is joining
Tell us the date you want and who is coming, with children’s ages and any access or food needs, so we can check suitability with the operator.
The practical arrangements
We check available times, the meeting point, transport if listed and the operator’s requirements. Optional extras are confirmed separately.
Your written quote
Review the final arrangements, total price, inclusions and payment and cancellation terms before booking. An enquiry does not reserve this trip.
The experience outline
The plan as the operator runs it. Start times and pickup are confirmed for your date.
- Step 01
Sail Out
Board at the Cairns marina in the morning for the run out to the outer reef, which takes around ninety minutes. The briefing happens on the way: stinger suits in season, which is roughly November to May, how the buddy system works, and what not to touch, which is everything.
- Step 02
Reef Hours
The pontoon is moored on the outer reef and is the whole point: a stable platform with a ladder, so you can get in and out as often as you like instead of treading water beside a rolling boat. Guided snorkel safaris go out on a schedule, the semi-submersible runs continuously for non-swimmers, and lunch is served on board.
- Step 03
Return
The sail back through the afternoon, with the reef dropping behind and the coast coming up. Turtles are common and never promised, and the marine biologist on board will tell you honestly what the coral is doing, which is worth hearing from someone who sees it every day.
