Musandam is a governorate of the Sultanate of Oman, on the peninsula between the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman that the UAE and Oman share. Visit Ras Al Khaimah describes the usual shape of a Musandam day from Dibba: a drive to the port of Dibba, then a dhow along a coast where the Western Hajar mountains run straight into the sea and form fjords, with time to swim and snorkel over coral, turtles and fish and to look at the caves along the shore.
