The story
There were twenty left in the 1910s. There are around seven hundred now, and every one of them lives here — Gir is the last wild population of Asiatic lions on the planet.
Two safaris, dawn and afternoon, in open gypsies with a forest guide who knows which prides are where. Crocodile-heavy Kamleshwar dam, leopard if you are lucky, and more birds than you will manage to name.
Itinerary

Long drive down through Saurashtra. Afternoon arrival, evening at the interpretation centre to learn what you are looking at.

Dawn gypsy safari into the core zone. Rest through the heat. Second safari in the late afternoon when the cats move.

Drive up the coast to Somnath for the temple and the sea, then back to Ahmedabad.

Know before you go
- Gir closes completely from 16 June to 15 October for the monsoon breeding season
- Safari permits are government-issued, capped daily and booked in your name — we need ID details well in advance
- A sighting is never guaranteed; two safaris roughly doubles your odds and December to March is best
- Wear muted colours, carry a hat, and leave the perfume at the hotel

Payment policy
30% deposit locks your seat the moment you book.
Balance is due 21 days before departure.
UPI, cards and net-banking accepted; EMI available on major cards.
Every rupee is receipted and the balance date is written on your confirmation.
Confirmation policy
Confirmation lands on WhatsApp and email as soon as your deposit clears.
A trip captain is assigned to you by name before you travel.
If we ever cancel a departure ourselves, you choose a full refund or a free date move.
Refund policy
Full refund (minus payment-gateway fees) if you cancel within 48 hours of booking and 30+ days before departure.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 working days.
Third-party charges already paid on your behalf (visas, permits, non-refundable air) are deducted at cost and shown to you.
Cancellation policy
30+ days before departure: lose only the deposit.
15–29 days: 50% of the package cost.
7–14 days: 75% of the package cost.
Under 7 days or no-show: no refund.
One free date change up to 15 days before departure.
