The story

A dhow is the old wooden trading boat of the Gulf, and Dubai has kept a fleet of them as floating dining rooms. The Marina cruise boards in the early evening at the promenade, and for about two hours the boat moves slowly along the canal between the residential towers, past moored yachts and the lit restaurants at water level, out to the mouth of the Marina and back.
