The story

What happens

The plan as the operator runs it. Start times and pickup are confirmed for your date.

1. Step 01 Arrive at the launch point

   Make your own way to the beach or marina on your voucher; no transfer is included. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early to change and meet the operator.

2. Step 02 Briefing and kit

   The operator explains the board, the hand signals and the safety rules, and fits the life jacket.

3. Step 03 The session

   Out to the flying area with the jet ski that powers the board, where you learn to rise, balance and dip.

Know before you go

• What the half hour buys: one rider, one 30-minute session, as the operator lists it. Whether the 30 minutes includes the briefing, and whether two people can share one session, are not stated on the sheet; ask your captain before you pay.
• Life jackets are compulsory, and flyboarding runs only in designated zones in daylight, according to Visit Abu Dhabi.
• You must be comfortable in deep water; you will fall in many times, which is part of it. Not advisable for pregnant travellers or anyone with back, neck or heart trouble.
• Age and weight limits are set by the operator. Ask your captain to confirm them for each rider, above all for teenagers.
• Wear swimwear or a rash vest you do not mind soaking; remove jewellery and leave phones and wallets ashore.
• Heat: from May to September go early in the morning or late in the afternoon; drink water before and after.
• Wind and sea conditions can stop sessions on the day; the operator decides for safety.
• Availability and the time are confirmed by the operator when your captain books; a booking can be declined by the supplier for a price change, allocation or stop-sale.
• Prices are per person in INR. GST and TCS on international bookings are shown in your written quote.
